POSITION: Stagehand - Local 500

THE ROLE

Responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling and operation of stage equipment during production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Load and unload props and materials from truck dock.

+ Set up lighting, props, and microphones.

+ Move and rearrange furniture.

+ Set up risers and musical equipment.

+ Clean up stage and backstage area before and after performances.

+ Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.

+ General knowledge and experience in proper handling of all components of theatrical and entertainment tools, equipment, and systems.

+ Other duties as assigned.


WORKING CONDITIONS

+ On Site, Broward County Convention Center


+ Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, walk, stand, sit, crouch, bend, stretch and reach.
