RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, coordinates and staffs units with appropriate staff. Staffs according to anticipated workloads on the nursing units and in the most cost effective manner. Positions include but not limited to the positions of Health Care Tech, Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Psychiatric Assistant/Sitters, Registered Nurse, and Unit Secretary. Performs duties in accordance with applicable bargaining agreements and policies and procedures of the Queen’s Medical Center (QMC).

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential: standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, carrying usual weight of ten pounds, reaching above/at/below shoulder, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object. Operates computer, printers, telephone with head set, answering machine, file cabinets.
