**Description**

Leidos is seeking a **Mechanical Engineer** to support 2nd Shift operations within our Mechanical Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Huntsville, AL.

This role is responsible for **s** upporting mechanical hardware execution in production, ensuring alignment between design intent, manufacturing definition, and shop floor performance to maintain production flow and delivery commitments.

This is not a traditional manufacturing engineering role. The position is intended for a mechanical engineer with strong hardware experience who can operate directly in a production environment, resolve real-time issues, and bridge gaps between engineering design and shop floor execution.

This role serves as a key technical resource on 2nd shift, working across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, CNC Programming, and Production teams to diagnose and resolve issues impacting machining, fabrication, and assembly operations.
