Job Title: Tooling Design Engineer
Job Description
As a Design Engineer, you will apply your foundry experience with low volume, high mix, no bake castings, and expertise in Creo software to design tooling. You will be responsible for troubleshooting challenges related to shrink allowances, machining allowances, and draft angles. The role involves designing patterns, core boxes, and tooling layouts to produce metal castings. Your work will be design-centric and CAD-driven, ensuring the tooling is buildable, machinable, and casting-robust. You will create physical tooling designs that enable the casting of dimensionally accurate, defect-free parts for complex industrial, automotive, or energy components.
