Position Overview
SUMMARY: Our client, a Network Owner, is looking for a skilled and experienced Fibre Optic Splicing Technician!
POSITION INFO: Key Responsibilities: - Perform fibre splicing, termination, and testing
- Connect FTTH and FTTB clients to GPON networks
- Diagnose and repair fibre network faults
- Read and work from network designs and technical drawings
- Complete and submit accurate as-built documentation
- Conduct OTDR and power meter testing
- Build and test end-to-end enterprise links
- Work closely with project teams to meet deadlines and project targets
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fibre optic splicing, installation, and testing
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
- Fibre optic certifications (FOA, CFOT, or similar) advantageous
