Position Summary Responsibilities The Speech Language Pathologist, Weekend Option treats speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages with varying acuity levels. This position is used primarily to supplement weekend staffing. Essential Functions • Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings if available, family and significant other persons and data sources. • Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload. • Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as delineated in the departmental policies and procedures. • Dem...
