**Job Description**

The Specialty Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for oversight of day to day laboratory operations and supervision of subordinate personnel, data collection, special projects, preparation and presentation of reports on special projects, budget variance analyses, review of test results, resolution of issues, problems, and/or complaints with specialty laboratories. Ensures quality service levels from all shifts, continuing laboratory accreditation by all accrediting/licensing agencies, processes administrative and financial transactions, etc.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in science field with 4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting required **or**
+ Master's degree in science field with 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting required
+ NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by DOH/Office of Professions required
+ ASCP Certification strongly preferred
