Specialty Doctor - Stroke Medicine

We are seeking a motivated and committed Specialty Doctor to join our stroke team at the Northern Care Alliance based at Fairfield Hospital.

Our inpatient work is provided predominately from our Primary Stroke Centre/Acute Unit and our two Stroke Rehabilitation wards.

Our outpatient work supports both TIA and general stroke review clinics. Stroke outpatient services are provided across our four Hospital sites.

The service is part of the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences and provides hyperacute and rehabilitation to stroke patients.

Main duties of the job

• Support and deputise for consultants in all department activities.
• Take responsibility for both in‑patient and out‑patient work (assessment of new stroke presentation in the ED, including thrombolysis and eligibility for thrombectomy).
