Position Summary
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University invites applications for a part-time (67%) fixed-term faculty position to lead the senior-level Capstone Design course. Capstone Design has been a cornerstone of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum at MSU for over 30 years. The one-semester (15-week) course immerses students in team-based, real-world design challenges sponsored by industry, nonprofits, and community partners. Students are placed in teams of 4–5, guided by a faculty mentor, and assessed on project deliverables culminating in Design Day—a college-wide showcase featuring student presentations and exhibits.
