Responsible for the orthopedic Department which provide surgical care, including diagnosis, pre-operative care, all major and minor operative procedures in the field of orthopedic surgery and post-surgery care.
A major portion of the incumbent's work will be the professional care of assigned patients and providing consultation on complex cases.
Participates in the professional aspects of the Department to ensure that established standards of DOH & JCI are met.
Incumbent is under the general direction of the HOD. He reports to and receives guidance from him. Works independently on technical and professional assignments keeping the HOD informed of problems encountered and action taken.
Ensure the established medical, ethical and legal procedures are followed.
Monitors the care of all patients receiving surgical treatment provided by the orthopedic Department to assure standards are met.
