Job Title: Specialist Associate (Aquarium Manager)

A Specialist Associate is required to assist in the maintenance and management of Seawater Aquaria system at St John's Island National Marine Laboratory. These include new biosafety level 2 aquaria.

The primary job location is at St John's Island National Marine Laboratory. SJINML houses four research aquaria blocks which include seawater flume, controlled environment research experimental tanks, biosafety level 2 aquaria and open aquaria systems.

• General maintenance of the SJINML facilities and infrastructure, including the maintenance of seawater pumps and aquaria systems, facilities and safety management.
• Supporting researchers using marine aquaria – providing technical support, ensuring safe conduct by researchers using the facility and proper housekeeping of the aquaria facility.
