Position Overview
Self-contained SPED Teacher (5th–8th grade) for a new classroom supporting ~12–15 students w/ low cognitive disabilities (ID, ED, Autism), 1 IA, and IEP/goal writing responsibilities. Role requires a compassionate, experienced candidate w/ strong IEP skills, familiarity w/ low-cog populations, and ideally BCBA-type behavior experience; would potentially be open to a BCBA. Starts 8/24 (in-service + classroom setup required before 8/31 student return), 37.5 paid hrs/week (8-hr day w/ 30-min lunch).
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
