Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment necessary for duties.
• Report shortages of materials to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain records for ordering and replenishment.
• Perform all sonography imagery procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and protocols.
• Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce images of high diagnostic quality.
• Acquire additional images as necessary to facilitate optimum diagnostic results for the interpreting physician.
• Evaluate and assess sonography images for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness, advising staff when required.
• Forward images to the radiologist for review and reporting.
• Apply independent professional and ethical judgment to ensure accurate capture of anatomical, pathological and clinical conditions.
