Summary This is the full performance level of the position and serves as a Social Services Assistant for Social Work Service, located at the VA Northern California Health Care System. The Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is a Level 1b facility and ranks among a complex system in the VA serving the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21). Responsibilities Major Duties: Serves as the HUD-VASH primary resource on existing and future permanent housing resources for all counties participating in the HUD-VASH Program. Works as the primary assistant to Veterans entering the HUD-VASH Program Serving as a liaison to the VA Medical Center (VAMC), Public Housing Authorities (PHA's), landlords and landlord associations, and agencies and corporations devoted to the development of affordable housing.
