Hire Resolve’s client is currently looking for a Smelt House Foreman to join their mining team based in Gauteng. You are accountable for managing the operations, maintenance, and safety of the metallurgical plant.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage smelt house operations, including furnace operation, metal pouring, and quality control. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures. Allocate work tasks to smelter operators and monitor their performance. Implement and maintain relevant documentation and records, including production reports and safety records. Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and resolve operational issues. Monitor and control smelting costs, including energy consumption, consumables, and metal recovery.
