Position Overview
Summary:
Provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients via Avasys Telesitter or direct one-on-one observation under the guidance and direction of the nurse.
Responsibilities:
Uses systematic processes to facilitate prompt placement of telesitter devices and validates criteria for use. Maintains visual observation at all times, whether individually or observing multiple patients at one time on a monitor. Monitors the patient via telesitter and uses voice command functionality to redirect patient while contacting nursing associates if patient requires additional intervention to maintain safety and documents intervention. Escalates caregiver notification when a patient is at risk for harm to self or others and participates in collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety concerns.
