Role Summary

The Ward Sister/Charge Nurse is responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing and multidisciplinary team within Buttercup Outpatients Unit. Acting as both a clinical leader and expert practitioner, the post holder will guide, support, and advise colleagues and external agencies to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

The role involves supporting and developing the healthcare support worker workforce, using performance feedback, patient outcomes, and service data to drive continuous improvement in care delivery. The Sister/Charge Nurse will actively promote a culture of learning by identifying and addressing both good and poor practice, providing constructive feedback, and demonstrating effective role modelling and mentorship.
