**Job Description**

**DUTIES:** Use CAE formability analysis and stamping process skills to provide manufacturability assessment for Large Stamped Panels and developing Stamping Processes. Work with simultaneous die engineers (or SEs, processing engineers), design studio, product engineers, manufacturing engineers, and program management to provide manufacturing driven product input to develop balanced integrated systems design for future program launches. Process a new product design for early manufacturing feasibility studies. Provide manufacturing input and engineering criteria to Styling & Product Engineering. Develop preliminary die-face layout and run formability analysis. Run iterations to optimize manufacturing conditions and identify manufacturability concerns. Propose solutions in resolving manufacturing related issues including splits, wrinkles, surface defects, skid lines, material utilization, press handling, and throughput, while product design is in progress.
