**SUMMARY**

+ Primary responsibility is to perform skilled and complicated vehicle repair and mechanical work on heavy duty diesel trucks or equipment in accordance with dealer and factory standards, with minimal supervision. Train and assist apprentice technicians in daily work duties.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Perform trouble-shooting on major problems
+ Assists technicians in all phases of repair work as needed.
+ Work with and train apprentice technicians
+ Inspects and services vehicles when they are delivered to UOS and makes repairs and adjustments.
+ Reads job order and observes and listens to vehicle to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.

+ Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Utility One Source and factory standards.
