Field Service Technician We are hiring a talented Field Service Technician to join our team in Elgin, IL on a full-time basis. This role involves inspecting, repairing, installing, and starting up gear units and related transmission parts on customer sites.
Job Summary The selected candidate will travel on field service calls to diagnose failures, determine corrective actions, read and work from blueprints, parts lists, and assembly protocols, and use a range of tools including parts washers, freezers, ovens, cranes, fork trucks, presses, torches, hand, and power tools. Responsibilities also include disassembling units, inspecting parts, writing reports on failures, and advising on replacements.
