Position Overview
Service Captain Job Purpose Service Captains play an important role in operating the Sentosa Express, ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient commute for island visitors. This includes checking and preparing the train for service, ensuring procedures are strictly adhered to.
Responsibilities - Adhere strictly to the duty schedule and train service timetable. Ensure the train arrives and departs on time.
- Ensure punctuality in handing/taking over of train.
- Report alarms or any unusual occurrences to Operations Command Centre (OCC). Deal with monorail-borne defects and resetting procedures according to SOP.
- Handling train system, signalling, and equipment fault. E.g., PGD/PSD failure, ETS/ESB operations.
- Performing intervention procedures during train breakdown; and when required, to prepare and conduct train coupling and/or push/pull back to the depot according to approved procedures.
