Job Purpose
- The Food Safety Officer / Environmental Health Officer (EHO) will be responsible for conducting food hygiene inspections and investigating complaints to ensure compliance with relevant food safety legislation.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Conduct routine and risk-based food hygiene inspections across various premises.
- Assess compliance with food safety legislation, codes of practice, and local authority standards.
- Provide clear feedback and guidance to food business operators to achieve compliance.
- Investigate food-related complaints, including food safety concerns and hygiene issues.
- Gather evidence, carry out inspections, and take appropriate enforcement action where necessary.
