Job Summary

The IT Network Design Engineer (Physical Infrastructure) will design, implement, and support Abbott’s global IT physical infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant hosting environments. This position is based in Imazium, Damansara, Kuala Lumpur within the BTS‑IS Global Data Center / Physical Infrastructure Services division.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer IT physical infrastructure solutions, including low‑voltage and fiber cabling, electrical systems, UPS, HVAC, security, and external infrastructure supporting LAN, WAN, and Voice platforms.
• Support implementation and lifecycle management of IT infrastructure environments, including mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety systems.
• Oversee and support on‑site infrastructure installations, including construction supervision and hardware implementation (e.g. Cat6A cabling, wireless access points).
