General Summary Responsible for leading Roll Shop shift operations, ensuring efficient roll stand builds, guide maintenance and uninterrupted mill operations. The role focuses on safety, quality and coordination of daily activities including shift handovers, troubleshooting and adherence to HSEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and supervise Roll Shop shift activities and manpower.
- Plan and execute roll stand builds according to the production program.
- Conduct final checks on rolls, guides and water spray systems before mill entry.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment, including overhead and pendant cranes.
- Monitor product quality, identify defects and support troubleshooting.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure safe working conditions.
