The Role
The Children’s Emergency provides initial evaluation, stabilisation and treatment to acutely ill or injured infants and children.
Key accountabilities
Manage and plan the care management of individual patient using the 4-prong Systematic Approach to Nursing Delivery comprising Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation.Identification, stabilisation and treatment of all acute paediatric emergencies (medical, surgical & trauma)Paediatric Injury Surveillance and Paediatric Trauma RegistryChild safety patient education and Monitoring of paediatric poisoningsManagement of victims of non-accidental injury Participate in action plans for the unit to enhance employee engagement and maximise employee performanceCarry out physicians’ treatment/investigations as ordered.Demonstrate competency in nursing core & special skillsA...
