Senior Safety Specialist – Health, Safety & Environment

Reporting to the Manager, Health & Safety, you will work with Nova Scotia Power Management and employees to lead the implementation of safety plans and programs while supporting our corporate commitment to achieving safety excellence that exceeds regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising, coaching, mentoring and supporting assigned Field Safety Specialists.
• Work towards an integrated approach to safety through continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Stay up to date with changes to provincial and federal safety regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
• Prepare and provide regular reports on safety audits and investigation findings to management and other relevant parties.
