Position Overview
What the role is: You are responsible for establishing, enforcing, and improving the unit safety system across garrison, training, and operations. You will implement corrective actions, prevent safety breaches, and ensure that the enforcement of safety in the workplace achieves zero fatal accidents.
What you will be working on: - Maintain unit safety policy, training safety regulation, unit safety standing operating procedures and instructions, and disseminate these regularly to all personnel
- Enforce adherence and compliance to safety guidelines and policies, and highlight any breaches for corrective action
- Conduct daily inspections to assess safety compliance, deter non-compliance, and advise on safety initiatives and good practices
- Be present at all high-risk activities
