Position Overview
Job Description
Contribute to high-quality research and development work in TCOMS laboratory through physical experiments including design of scaled physical test models, such as maritime vessels, offshore rigs, marine renewable platforms and aquaculture systems for testing in the TCOMS Ocean Basin.
Generation of detailed design, production, assembly and as-built drawings of test models.
Work with a team of engineers and technicians on model fabrication and modification, calibration, instrumentation and experimental set‑up.
Enhance the measurement of models’ behaviour and response by use of appropriate sensors.
Document design processes, methodologies and results.
Contribute to process enhancements for improved efficiency of research work.

Offshore hydrodynamics
Coastal protection
