Position Overview
Designing and engineer biopharma piping to meet specific project requirements and standards. Continuously evaluate and optimize piping analysis to improve efficiency, reduce operation costs, and enhance reliability. Investigate and resolve construction and design issues dealing with piping, nozzle, or piping component failures. Prepare detailed pipe stress engineering reports as required by project needs and code requirements. Identify relevant data sources and implement automated data collection processes. Perform quality control on pipe stress reports and support selection charts. Perform FEA evaluation for evaluation of stresses at nozzles, or for determining user calculated SIFs, using NozzlePro, FE/Pipe or other FEA software. Select springs/struts/snubbers/Expansion joints when necessary, determine movements/loads, prepare spring/strut/snubber/Expansion joints schedule, requisitions, and review related vendor drawings.
