The candidate needs to be highly proficient in blood taking, capable of successful draws even from patients with hard-to-locate veins, and also high volume settings with up to 20 patients per hour. Additional responsibilities may also include height and weight measurement, taking blood pressure, as well as dispatch of collected samples to the diagnostic laboratory. Location will vary on a job-by-job basis depending on customer requirements, but hourly rate will factor in travel time and costs. Some examples could include clinics (locum arrangement), home blood draws, research study support, or mobile health screening events.
As the jobs will often be offsite, the candidate must be able to perform the duties independently.
