Position Overview
Responsibilities:
- Conducting optical assembly and testing processes with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and improve optical systems and components.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues related to optical equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and efficient production processes.
- Providing mentorship and training to junior technicians as required.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing procedures and techniques.
Experience and qualification:
- 10+ years of experience in a high precision optical manufacturing environment, and/or
- 10+ years of experience in a high precision mechanical manufacturing environment is highly desired
- Minimum NCEA Level 3 (with success in Maths, English, and Physics)
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering is highly regarded
