Position Overview

Senior Process Operator – Process & Pumping department, North Yorkshire (mobile worker). Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Colburn WWTW.

Working hours: 37 hours per week. Local catchment stand‑by rota (1 day in 10, subject to change).

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and optimise wastewater treatment works ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and Health & Safety.
• Carry out routine operations, sampling, reporting, data analysis and basic maintenance checks to prevent failure.
• Manage and prioritise workload according to available resources.
• Provide operational support to operators and maintenance technicians for standby and absence cover.
• Handle administrative duties including promotion applications, purchase order creation, resource planning and team hub management.
