About the Role

Senior Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau Occupational Therapist position, part‑time (32 hours/week), based in Starship hospital primarily on the wards with some outpatient clinic duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clinical caseload applying clinical knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients’ health needs.
• Work in partnership with tamariki, rangatahi, whanau and the interdisciplinary team to achieve best outcomes.
• Remain focused on Māori health gain and equitable health outcomes for Māori.
• Apply clinical knowledge, reasoning and expertise while modelling evidence‑based practice.
• Facilitate effective discharge planning and/or referral processes to health care providers or support agencies.
