Job OverviewRPO Recruitment’s client, a leading mining company based in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior Mining Engineering Consultant. This is a permanent, full‑time role offering exposure to a variety of commodities and projects across South Africa and internationally. Periodic travel to mine sites is required.
Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced mine planning and engineering studies. Develop and interpret mining models, including block modelling and re‑blocking. Prepare Mine Works Programmes (MWP), Life of Mine (LOM) studies, and short‑ and medium‑term plans. Perform pit and stope optimisation, mine design and scheduling. Select and optimise equipment, model costs and analyse operations. Carry out technical audits, due‑diligence assessments and support permit applications.
