Determine the acceptability of samples with guidelines and prepares specimens for analysis.
Perform the laboratory tests as stated in the standard procedure manual.
Co‑ordinate general workflow and prioritize laboratory requests according to Stat, Urgent and routine.
Operate and calibrate all laboratory instruments.
Perform daily maintenance on laboratory instruments.
Perform quality control (QC) procedures, verify that values are within specified limits, and document all QC data.
Validate the accuracy of laboratory data.
Monitor quality control and quality assurance measures and institute corrective action.
Has knowledge of theory of laboratory procedures and understand the basic physiology of laboratory results and to correlate laboratory data with other clinical data.
Identify technical, instrument, and/ or physiologic causes of unexpected test results.
