**Overview**

**Job Title: Senior Machinist**

**Job Location: Melville, NY (100% onsite)**
**Salary: $40.00-$50.00/hr DOE**

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools—including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and Haas CNC machinery—to produce precision parts, tools, and fixtures from drawings, sketches, and operation sheets.
+ Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering documentation, applying shop mathematics and GD&T.
+ Consistently achieve extremely tight dimensional tolerances required in military/space grade manufacturing.
+ Determine required machinery, sequence of operations, setups, and machining strategies.
+ Select proper cutting tools for each operation, including grinding, sharpening, and maintaining tooling.
+ Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools to verify conformance.
