As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for leading the legal function of Moment’s South Africa business. This is a 360 degree legal role and involves commercial legal facilitation, corporate law and governance responsibilities, and – as Moment is a licensed South African payment services provider – working closely with our compliance team on licensing and regulatory matters.

Reporting to the COO, the Moment legal team is ultimately responsible for facilitating Moment’s commercial objectives in a legally compliant manner, and ensuring Moment grows its business responsibly in Africa’s most populous market. Moment’s legal team is also an avid user of automation and legal AI tools, so this role will require openness to using and iterating on such tools to ensure overall business efficiency gains.
