The Department of Medicine Huddinge (MedH) has a long tradition of clinic-related and translational research. Some of the department's focus areas within biomedicine are endocrinology, metabolism, immunology and infection. The department also has extensive educational assignments in the medical, nutrition, and biomedicine programs.
Description of the subject area
Biomedical research is defined as research in the borderland between basic science and clinical practice. Biomedical research at MedH mainly focuses on clinical materials. A particularly exciting area is what is called immunometabolism, where we intend to further strengthen research at MedH.
