This Senior Laboratory Technician position is located in the Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department in the Minnesota on the St. Paul Campus. The Minnesota Urolith Center receives approximately 90,000 urinary stone submissions annually.Β
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility will be to assist with projects related to analysis of biogenic urinary minerals (uroliths). The work may include:Β
Β Laboratory Analysis & Technical Support (55%)Β Sample sectioning and quantitative mineral analysis. Duties require attention to detail and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures and results.Operates or uses a variety of laboratory equipment used in analysis of urinary minerals. This may include the use of: pH meter, stereomicroscope, polarizing microscope, infrared spectroscope, centrifuges, and/or computer.Provides technical assistance to laboratory colleagues, graduate students, external clinicians, and others by performing a...
