Uppingham School is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the School’s IT services and infrastructure. Working at the heart of our IT team, you will provide third-line technical support for the School’s IT infrastructure and lead as the technical specialist on infrastructure and systems-related issues. You will deliver a reliable and secure operational service, ensuring systems are automated, monitored and maintained in line with best practice. You will proactively identify and resolve issues, develop operational procedures and collaborate with development colleagues to support advanced automation and service delivery. The role also involves significant project work, including cloud migrations, system upgrades and security, and you will lead the technical delivery of new systems and oversee the deployment, configuration and security of end-user hardware and software across the School.
