**Description**

The Department of Biology at the University of Rochester ( https://www.sas.rochester.edu/bio/ ) invites applications for a non-tenure track, instructional faculty position in Introductory Biology at the rank of Lecturer. Primary responsibilities are:

1) Teaching Principles of Biology I (BIOL 110) in the fall; enrollments are ca. 200 students. This is the first course in the course sequence for all biology majors. The course provides an introduction to biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and animal physiology.

2) Teaching the next course in the sequence, Principles of Biology II (BIOL 111), in the spring; enrollments are ca. 200. This course focuses on evolution, organismal diversity, functional biology, and ecology.
