Works with the Executive Housekeeper in the preparation and management of the Department’s operating budget.
Supervises the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to bedroom service, bathroom service, cleaning service, linen maintenance and public area cleanliness.
Recommends changes to these standards and identifies training needs on an ongoing basis.
Schedules daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deep cleaning programmes.
Maintains current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems.
Performs room allocations and room inspections; prioritises arrival rooms.
Conducts routine inspections of all public areas’ cleanliness.
Liaises with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements.
Liaises with Engineering on guest room and public area defects.
Ensures guest laundry is processed and delivered in a timely manner.
