About this opportunity

Cenovus is currently looking for a Senior Geologist to join our Conventional Heavy Oil team located in the Calgary office. Reporting to the Alberta Geoscience Manager, Conventional Heavy Oil, the Senior Geologist will be accountable to work in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure reservoir development plans are optimized to meet Cenovus business needs, enable the successful execution of our development plans, and support our long‑term strategy.

What you’ll do

• Conduct geological evaluations using core data, well logs, drilling, and production information to identify and mature new drilling prospects.
• Generate technical insights and recommendations to support asset development strategies and project execution plans.
• Prepare and present technical recommendations to leadership through formal review and approval processes.
