The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Counselor provides information, counseling, advocacy, and options to consumers facing financial and housing crises. The Financial Counselor engages in community outreach and education to help people prepare for retirement, address financial challenges and access benefits.

Responsibilities


+ Provide counseling, information, advocacy, and options to consumers seeking assistance in the areas of foreclosure, mortgage delinquency/default, consumer debt, budgeting, property tax preparation and income tax preparation (when currently certified). Assist seniors with financial related paperwork, for example, housing applications.
