The primary purpose of the job position is to develop and calibrate diesel engines/vehicles with a balanced optimisation between performance, NVH, driveability, fuel economy emission compliance. a) Diesel vehicle calibration involving vehicle calibration, drivability, environmental corrections, cold start and error diagnostic management.
b) Develop and implement calibrations for engine mapping of air charge/ governor calibration for turbocharger/egr valve, electric actuation for turbocharger/egr valve, transient performance optimisation eg. Smoke calibration, ASD/dashpot calibration, throttle valve control, Low Idle speed calibration, and engine safety functions eg. overheat calibration, turbocharger protection, after treatment safety functions, exhaust temperature controller calibration etc.
