Senior Data Engineer (Data Asset Development)

As a Senior Data Engineer at QS, you will specialise in designing, building, and refining high‑quality data assets derived from QS proprietary datasets, licensed third‑party sources, publicly scraped data, and internal operational systems. You will focus on dbt‑based transformation pipelines, robust data modelling, and the creation of analytically ready data assets used across rankings, research, commercial products, and enterprise analytics.

Role responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑quality data assets by combining and harmonising third‑party datasets, proprietary QS data, scraped collections, and internal data sources.
• Develop, optimise, and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and engineering excellence.
• Partner closely with the Data Lead to ensure comprehensive data lineage from raw ingestion through to final assets.
