ounded in 1995, the Cure Blindness Project (CBP ) is a global nonprofit organization driven to help people retain or regain their sight. Over 43 million people worldwide are blind, and 295 million suffer from vision impairment, with 90% living in low- and middle-income countries where access to eye care is limited. However, 80% of this burden is preventable or treatable, with simple interventions like cataract surgery restoring sight to millions.

For more than 25 years, CBP has worked to eliminate avoidable blindness by building cost-effective, high-quality eye care systems in underserved areas.
