Howmet Engines seeks a Senior Ceramic Engineer! This position will be based out of our Howmet Research Center in Whitehall, Michigan.
Primary Responsibilities

+ Act as a primary subject matter technical resource in non-metallic materials used in the production of aerospace and power generation investment cast components, including raw material processing, laboratory testing as well as root cause analysis of process and material challenges

+ Provide hands-on support of ceramic core and shell mold manufacturing, raw material quality and material technical support to Howmet production and R&D functions

+ Guide and perform investigations of quality, material and process improvement opportunities across multiple sites and processing methods

+ Travel to Howmet and supplier facilities is required and is typically less than 20%, but may vary depending on need
