JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Category Manager – Procurement and Corporate Services. Reports to the Head of Supplies and Services Procurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Planning – Work with the Head of Supplies and Services to establish, maintain and communicate a clear strategic direction, develop a detailed service-specific business plan and align it with the organisational vision.
• Category Leadership – Develop, implement and monitor procurement category plans and strategies, ensuring value for money, compliance with the Northern Ireland Public Procurement Policy (NIPPP), Procurement Policy Notes (PPNs) and the Department of Finance Sourcing Toolkit.
• Operational Management – Manage the category team, set performance targets, monitor progress, allocate work, and deliver on budget and time‑line commitments while continually improving service standards.
