About the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Biosecurity Advisor – Engagement to join our Environmental Science & Policy team. This role plays a key part in strengthening biosecurity outcomes across the region by leading engagement, education, and risk pathway initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders, industry groups, and the community to increase awareness, ownership, and effective management of invasive species risks.

In this role, you’ll ensure effective collaborative relationships across Council, stakeholders, and the wider community to deliver the Regional Pest Management Plan, manage projects, engage with landowners, the rural sector, and community groups, and contribute to regional and national biosecurity initiatives. You’ll lead regulatory compliance process, monitor and respond to biosecurity threats, and ensure high-quality environmental data supports decision‑making.
